Yes that’s right, finally Apple has just confirmed what we have said before about holding iPad Mini media event on October 23. From the couple of weeks ago we have seen iPad Mini claimed prices and today according to a new report from The Loop‘s Jim Dalrymple first reported on Apple’s invitation.
Unlike other recent events that have been held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Apple will hold this event at the California Theatre in San Jose .
It is widely expected that Apple will use this event to unveil a smaller form-factor iPad.
The Guardian newspaper reported recently that Apple will, at least initially, offer WiFi-only iPad mini to keep the costs down, but a leaked price list from a German retailer suggests both WiFi and cellular version will be offered from the onset, each in 8, 16, 32 and 64 gigabyte storage flavors (and likely two colors, black probably more prone to scratches).
Additional SKUs suggest there might be WiFi, 3G and 4G LTE (or perhaps Thunderbolt) options available.
Apple’s previous-generation iPod touch is a $199 value so having the iPad mini cost the same wouldn’t make much sense. Anyway we are going to keep you updated with any news from Apple.. Stay tuned.. We will also be covering the media event on October 23
