Samsung has just announced its best 3D smart TVs at its Southeast Asia, Oceania and Taiwan forum. The ES7500-series LED TVs sport an alluring 5mm-thin bezel, as well as Smart Interaction that allows users to control these panels via motion, voice and face recognition. Meanwhile, its ES8000 counterparts raise the bar further with an attractive U-shaped stand and a local-dimming function to deliver deeper blacks.
The chaebol is touting even better black-levels with its E8000-series plasma TVs, which offer its Plasma +1 design to provide an extra inch of “screen” real-estate without making the bezel bulkier. All three ranges also share an enhanced smart TV platform offering new services–an example would be one that’s called Kids, which offers youth-friendly content with parental control. Furthermore, users can multitask by running a Web browser and apps simultaneously.
Other common noteworthy features include Smart Interaction and Smart Evolution. Utilizing an onboard HD camera and two microphones, Smart Interaction allows users to control the TV via motion, voice and face recognition. With Smart Evolution, you can also keep these displays up-to-date with future technologies by installing a slot-in module. These hardware and software kits will only be available in 2013.
However, Smart Touch Remote and Smart Wireless Keyboard support is still pending confirmation. Until then, here are the key specifications for these Samsung TVs.
