A5X Dual-Core Processor Reiterated for LTE iPad 3

Sources are now confirming to The Verge that Apple will indeed launch a new iPad tomorrow with an LTE chipset for Verizon and AT&T. There will also be a CDMA/GSM international version carrying a chipset similar to the iPhone 4S.

The sources also claims that the next iPad will not be getting a new A6 processor, and instead will be receiving the A5X, a more powerful version of the A5. The A5X was first leaked back in February. The source claimed that the A6 would most likely be used for the iPhone 5, and not the iPad 3.

The Verge also reiterates that the iPad will have a 2048 x 1536 Retina Display, but will also have a RAM upgrade. There will also be two different version of the LTE iPad, one for AT&T and one for Verizon.

Apple will also release an upgrade to the AppleTV with the new A5X chip, allowing for 1080p support to deliver full video/mirroring to other Apple devices, in conjunction with Mountain Lion.

Apple's Event is set for tomorrow at 10AM PST.
