Fastest Electric Airplane In The World

Electric Airplanes are now engaged in making world records. Though it's a very risky job but to the pilots it is both challenging and pleasuring. After the record scored by SkySpark, electric vehicle pioneer and green technology innovator Chip Yates has made a new world record of flying at 202.6 mph in an electric plane Long-ESA.

Chip Yates is a highly dynamic and proven leader. He currently holds the official FIM record for “The World’s Fastest Electric Motorcycle”. He ran an electric motorcycle at 200 mph. However,  on July 18, Yates had done a test flight with an electric airplane Long-ESA. Long-ESA is the modified version of Long-EZ. Be noted, this was the first time in Yates’ life where he was flying an electric airplane. The following day, means on 19 July, boarding on Long-ESA electric airplane, Yates made the new world record of flying at 202.6 mph.  The electric airplane lasted 16 minutes in air. The plane had normal gasoline-powered aircraft engines and was designed based on the Burt Rutan.
Yates flew the Long-ESA electric airplane at the Inyokern Airport in California’s Mojave Desert. Scoring a speed of 202.6 miles per hour, Yates broke the previous record of 175 mph which was held by the tiny electric Cri-Cri . Now, Yates is planning to have a nonstop trans-Atlantic electric flight at next week’s Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
