Chinese Tablet to Play Games on HDTV

One of the coolest features of a tablet is that you can plug an HDMI cable directly into it and play games on a bigger screen. With some games, like Real Racing or Asphalt, you can even then use your tablet as your controller. We recently came across with a Chinese tablet called the GT-PAD F1 that is capable to do gaming quite well, and we think we will buy one after watching the lengthy hands-on video below.

Chinese manufacturers here love to make 7-inch Android tablets, and this GT-PAD F1 is a 7-inch tablet with a capacitive (5-point) IPS display (800 x 480). The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz Boxchip A10 single core ARM Cortex-A8 processor, an integrated Mali400 graphics chip, 512MB of RAM, a 4GB of flash memory, a MicroSD card slot and a 3,500mAh battery. It does not have any cameras on the front side and the back side, but it has an HDMI 1.3 output and a microUSB port. The best part? It’s powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. More photos of the device below.

The all-plastic finish has a few quirks, but it doesn’t look all-together bad given what you’re paying — for just 680 RMB ($108).
