The original Samsung Galaxy Tab, which was the first real Android-based competitor to the iPad, divided opinion when it was launched late in 2010. 16 months later and the company has unveiled an update which will come with the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.
The new Galaxy Tab 2 is a compact 7-inch model with a 1024 × 600 pixel display. The interior comes with a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM standard diet used. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS are also typical features. As usual there is a front and a rear camera – the latter with 3 MP resolution. The 10.5 mm slim device comes with a 4000 mAh battery.
