LG has confirmed that it is working on a successor to its Optimus 3D smartphone, one of the best glasses-free 3D phones on the market.
The phone is called the Optimus 3D Max and is one of the slimmest and lightest 3D smartphones that has a thickness of 9.6mm and weighs 148g. The 3D Max allows you to convert videos, photos and maps to 3D on the phone itself by simply hit the 3D Hot Key on the side of the handset.
Most interesting, you won’t need glasses to enjoy them in all their dimensions. Besides this, Optimus 3D Max will come equipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, not Ice Cream Sandwich. LG said, however, that it plans to upgrade to version 4.0 “shortly after launch.”
