Aigo, a China-based consumer electronics company, recently announced that it will be bringing its a new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich slates to the market. There seems to be no shortage of ultra-cheap Android 4.0 tablets these days, and Aigo certainly has some of the most budget-friendly models around, with prices starting at 999 RMB (US$160).
The $160 Aigo M80 will go in line with Ainol’s Novo 7 that is currently being sold for less than a hundred US Dollars. Specs wise, the Aigo M80 will be released as an 8 inch tablet device with a 1280 x 768 pixels multi-touch display, which supports Full HD video playback. Moreover, the slate will go alongside with a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera, which to support video call. However, it doesn’t equip a rear facing camera though. The machine take pride of its 1.2GHz Cortex A9 chip, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and a 4,700 mAh battery. The M80 can connect to the web via 3G or Wi-Fi. Guess what’s even more tempting? Aigo claimed its M80 is just 0.268 inch thin, which is even thinner than the iPad 2 (0.34 inch). Like it?
